❥ Character Information
Character Name: Mickey Mouse
Character Age: Not Given, implied to be early 20s.
Character Species: Mouse – a humanoid mouse that can stand on his feet, use his arms, and talk!
Current Health: Alive.
Outfit: Musketeer uniform (red long-sleeved shirt, blue and gold overlay, tan pants, boots, gloves). Instead of the usual clean and neat assigned Musketeer hat, he has his own he had from childhood that was gifted to him by a Musketeer, and as such is a little tattered and has autographs from the original (four!) famous Musketeers.

Character Canon: Mickey Donald Goofy : The Three Musketeers
Link to History:
Once upon a time, there were three poor orphan children being mugged by vicious bullies. Little Mickey valiantly tried to fight them off and defend his friends, but thankfully the three (plus one) musketeers came to the rescue! Inspired by their heroism, Mickey and his friends vowed to become musketeers just like them. But as the years passed, the highest rank he and his companions ever achieved was "janitor". Due to Mickey's height, he wasn't taken seriously. Yet Mickey never gave up hope, knowing that it was his destiny. Even when Captain Pete, he who chose the musketeers and trained them, mocked Mickey and his friends mercilessly, Mickey refused to give up... which helped when Pete all of a sudden said "HEY, YOU PASSED THE TEST, I WAS JUST KIDDING!"

As it turns out, Pete had plans to take the throne away from Princess Minnie, but his henchmen messed up majorly and her royal highness knew someone was after her. While she had no idea who it was, she demanded Pete give her musketeer bodyguards - which, as one can imagine, put a serious dent in his plans. Unless he hired her the most foolish, incompetent, weakest men around... and so, Mickey and his friends were unknowingly placed as pawns in Pete's devious scheme. Pete introduced his "best" musketeers to Princess Minnie, and it was love at first sight for Mickey and Minnie. But before anyone could go "Awwww", lady-in-waiting Daisy offered her highness a snack, which the high-strung boys mistook as an assassination attempt. They nearly beat the feathers off the startled duck before Minnie angrily pointed out the obvious, and Mickey had the good sense to apologize. Minnie still decided to keep them around, and they were assigned to guard her for the rest of the day.

It was a lovely carriage ride that day, with Minnie squealing about forbidden love, and the boys happy that they'd finally gotten their dreams. It was then abruptly ruined by Pete's henchmen, who where a smidgen smarter this time around. Thanks to Donald's cowardice and Goofy's oblivious nature, Mickey and his friends were soundly defeated and the princess, plus Daisy, were captured. After such a humiliating defeat, Mickey was ready to give up - until Goofy gave a rousing speech, saying that real musketeers never gave up, and they'd already gotten this far. Inspired, Mickey gave chase, following the henchmen to a tower where the girls had been tied and caged. Mickey valiantly fought alongside Goofy (unaware that once again Donald had hidden in fright), and with Mickey's courage and Goofy's thinking outside the box, the henchmen were sent flying (literally). The girls were saved, and as Mickey tried to untie Minnie's ropes, he unknowingly won her over forever. This would have been the perfect chance to sneak away for a date... but the fox had other ideas.
Canon Point: After rescuing Princess Minnie from the tower.
Canon Iteration: Original Canon.
Canon Iteration Explanation: N/A

❥ Folkmore Roles & Attributes

Skills: Mickey, Donald and Goofy are self-trained, having lived near the area where the musketeers practiced, and so spent years trying to copy/learn from what they saw and practicing on their own. As a result, Mickey is an excellent swordsman, and is capable of taking down multiple numbers and taller/bigger opponents with strategy and strength.
Canon Abilities: Mickey is quick on his feet, faster than most and uses his small size to his advantage – such as climbing onto taller/bigger folk, and as he weighs less, he can be picked up/thrown easily. (Thanks, Goofy.)
Role: Legend
Role Qualities/Attributes: A small glowing halo floating above his head.
Role Reasoning:
Very few characters come to represent purity and goodness quite like Mickey Mouse! Outside of his famous appeal, within his own canon he's like a candle that's very difficult to snuff out. He exudes justice and nobility, leading his friends to their best potential and believing in others against all odds. However, just because someone is pure doesn't mean that person is right. In his current worldview, it's black and white with very little room for gray - and time in the game will hopefully allow him to grow past that and become someone who can understand the world with a stronger sense of right, wrong, and "in the middle".

As a bit of an aside, the game series Kingdom Hearts shows that their version of Mickey, the wise and helpful King, was once this very same musketeer. While I will be playing this version of Mickey and not the Kingdom Hearts version, I will be using future rewards for him to gain similar magic and perhaps even a Keyblade someday.

❥ Personality

Option 1.
Mickey is a grade A good guy, always believing the best in everyone even when clear evidence says otherwise. It's not that he doesn't believe in bad guys, he just thinks the world works in black and white. If someone is a bad person, then of course they will say they're bad and do bad things! It doesn't occur to him that people can easily lie about such things. For example, take his relationship with captain Pete. Pete constantly berates Mickey and his friends, saying they'll never be musketeers, yet Mickey still thinks he's a good man simply because he's the captain. Even when it's pointed out his naivety is a downfall, he refuses to see otherwise, wanting to believe the good in the world.

Mickey is also true to his friends, loyalty and convictions. When he learns Donald actually hid from the big fight, Mickey still has faith in him and believes Donald can do great things, forgiving him instantly. When Pete reveals he's the one after the throne, Mickey has no hesitation in trying to arrest him. Mickey values doing the right thing above all, and to him the right thing means taking down bad guys (even when it's clear he's going to lose), and helping his friends (even when they abandon him.) His friends mean a lot to him, and his heart loves deeply.

Mickey can often be headstrong, diving into matters without giving deeper thought to them. He can feel useless if he has to stay somewhere and not do anything, which is why he tends to seek problems out so he can solve them and right the wrongs. But he's willing to own up to his mistakes, and is happy to learn something new. He's humble in that aspect, knowing he's far from perfect and still has a long way to go before he can ever emulate his childhood heroes properly. He'll instead give all the props to his friends, praising them to high heaven while only saying one or two things about himself. But he's proud of his role, and thinks helping others is the best job there could possibly be.

So what does it take to bring down someone who is constantly smiling? A situation has to be utterly hopeless, or suffering a truly great loss. The only time Mickey has ever shown to give up is when his suffered his first defeat at the hands of the Beagle Boys (which was quickly resolved thanks to Goofy's words), and when he believes Goofy is dead. It doesn't take too much to lift him out of the dumps, but when Mickey is upset, he is DEVASTATED. His feelings are very strong in every which way - he doesn't just have a crush, he's HOPELESSLY in love. He doesn't just get mad, he's INFURIATED beyond belief. In short, while Mickey is a stand-up guy, he's still got a long ways to go before he becomes a true, noble hero.

Important Note! In the game Kingdom Hearts, this movie is shown to be a part of the canon. Mickey becomes King, and learns magic. If it is allowed, I would like for Mickey to have potential to learn magic. However, if this is not allowed, I am content to keep Mickey as a simple swordsman.
Inventory: The clothes on his back (plus his autographed hat) and his sword.
